‘Together we are working on a close-knit community’
Aviko. Where sustainability grows.
You build and grow a strong and committed community by investing together. Patrycja Borsuk, contract manager, Izabela Karczewska, accountant and Magdalena Kozłowska, general manager at Aviko Poland are closely involved in the various activities of the Dream Home Foundation in their Gdynia community. ‘True commitment creates valuable moments.’
The Dream Home Foundation provides assistance to adults with a mental impairment in Gdynia. It does so in two ways: day care with therapy support and offering support in living independently. Patrycja says: ‘The work of the foundation is inspiring, and we are proud to be part of this journey.’
Contact with the entire community
Close involvement in the local community is a perfect match with ‘joy for everyone,’ which is what Aviko stands for. That local involvement is deeply rooted in the (social) projects to which Aviko contributes. Large and small. Magdalena: ‘We contribute to our community by donating food and other items, but especially by investing time.’
Together with Aviko, the Dream Home Foundation also organises an annual picknick for local residents, interested parties and the foundation’s residents. Patrycja adds: ‘The picknick is a wonderful way of coming into contact with the local community. We serve our fries at Aviko’s stand. It is an informal gathering with music, food, art and a lot of fun for the children.’
Investing attention is the biggest achievement
‘Truly being involved in an activity is worth so much more than merely donating money or products. Investing your time and seeing happy faces on both sides is very valuable. There is an increasing number of volunteers who register to do their bit. That is very special,’ relates Magdalena.
