Proud Farmers

Our growers use their land, passion and knowledge to grow the best potatoes in a responsible manner. This forms the basis for the very best Aviko products. We work together with our growers on potato cultivation that withstands all weather: profitable and sustainable, now and in the future.

Proud Farmers

‘As a proud farmer, I rather focus on what is possible than on what is not possible.’

The Farmer Poster

You can see at a glance how you are doing in the area of sustainability and biodiversity. This the Farmer Poster. Aviko developed posters to help growers gain insight into the eight KPI’s of the Biodiversity Monitor Arable farming (BMA) and to show them in an overview all of the things a grower is working on in the area of sustainability. The Farmer Poster serves as an inspiration for further sustainable improvements and as talking point for interested parties, such as banks, subsidy providers and insurers. The instrument is already helping 20 growers to gain more control over future-proof and profitable cultivation.

In 2023, we organised knowledge meetings to introduce new breeds as successfully as possible in cooperation between our agronomy team and external knowledge partners. We are working continuously on improving the cultivation data to better analyse the current growth of our cultivation and to closely monitor the improvement over the years. In 2024 we will start pilot groups to further shape our future-proof farming programme in cooperation with growers and knowledge partners.
